As I said goodbye (Jen and I are not flying home with them, but instead heading to Santorini. Sorry, I had to throw in one last jab. 😉 ) to the people I have met on this trip tonight, I felt myself already feeling that I will miss them. Beyond the work that we’ve done, discussions about the impact of what we’ve experienced on our students and the sites that we’ve seen, we have traveled this beautiful country together for the last 10 days. We have done more than I ever thought possible in such a short period of time. I have pushed myself far our of my comfort zone. We, as teachers, know where growth and learning happens. I am so grateful to have this amazing experience with these great people who I now can call family. I am so excited to see what collaborations will happen in the future as a result of the friendships and connections made on this trip.
