“Although Classrooms Without Borders (CWB) is a new organization, it is infused with history. Founded in February of this year in association with the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and the Holocaust Center, CWB provides meaningful professional development to educators who teach about the catastrophic events of the 1930s and 40s.
At a very nominal cost, teachers and students can travel to Poland, Israel, and Germany with bona fide experts. Through CWB, participants see first-hand the recent history and the atrocities that the Jewish People endured. And by using international travel as an experiential basis for study, educators can develop multidisciplinary lessons and units into classroom instruction.”
