CWB participants have the chance to see Prime Stage Theatre’s premiere performance of The Devil’s Arithmetic, based on the book by Jane Yolen and adapted for the stage by Barry Kornhauser. A choice of two performance dates is available to the CWB community: Sunday, May 11, 2:30 p.m., or Saturday, May 18, 8 p.m. Each option includes an exciting program preceding or following the show.
After the 2:30 p.m. performance Sunday, May 11, award-winning author, Jane Yolen will offer the presentation Remember, O, Remember: How I Wrote The Devils’ Arithmetic. Bring your book for her to sign after the presentation.
At 6 p.m., before the 8 p.m. performance Saturday, May 18, CWB educators can attend How to Teach The Devil’s Arithmetic. After the performance of the play that evening, attendees can meet the director, Lisa Ann Goldsmith, at a dessert reception.
Educators who teach the Holocaust or literature and who have participated in a CWB study seminar (or who will join one this year) will pay only $10 for a ticket. Space is limited, so reserve your seats now! Make sure to use code CWB when ordering tickets.
