We ate a quick breakfast, and hopped into the van. First, we drove to a Druze school, called Beirut Jann. At the school, we spoke with the students and learned a bit about the Druze culture. Then, we got a tour of the school and made some new friends with the students there.

Afterwards, we drove to Peki’in, an ancient village in the Galilee. There we visited a candle shop and looked at the magnificent wax pieces. We also got the chance to visit a one of a kind cheese factory. In the factory, we watched the workers make goat cheese. We then, went into the basement of the factory and saw stacks of cheeses. One of the workers told us that the cheese needs to dry in a basement area for 24 hours before consuming. Then, we tried some different types of fresh cheese. They were all very tasty!

Later, we went into the town and did a bit of shopping. We saw a lot of handmade jewelry, artwork, and clothing. All of the items were very beautiful! Then we got some delicious hot apple cider, which warmed us up a bit. After, we drove back to the village, and ate a tasty lunch of soup and Israeli salad.
Afterwards, we all met with our Mishpachtons. Alexandra went to the orchard in the village and picked ripe oranges, grapefruit, and lemons. They were very good! Then, she went to the playground with some of the kids in her Mishpachton and one of her fiends from Pittsburgh. We had a lot of fun, and we got to know a couple more kids from other Mishpachtons. Later, we went back to my Mishpachton and ate dinner. After dinner, Alexandra gave the presents to her Mishpachton. They received new Nike sneakers, shirts, and headbands for the girls. After, she went back to her house and chatted with her friends.
