There is something special about knowing that when you arrive in Israel you will be staying with an Israeli family. The opportunity to be a part of a family, if even for a small time, is something we as adults don’t often do. Classrooms Without Borders worked with a local agency in Karmiel-Misgav to arrange for us to stay in host homes. What a special experience! We dined with them, slept under their roofs, shared pictures, shared stories and truly made new friends. They opened their doors to us and in turn we gained a strong connection to Israel and its people. I know personally that when I return to the amazing land of Israel I have a home here to return to!
