Day 6 – Olivia | Letters from the Children’s Village

Dance Performance1 Today our day started at the Museum for the Blind in Holon. We were given a tour, and we walked in the pitch black and experienced lots of everyday things that we take for granted as if we were blind. After the museum we traveled to Tel Aviv and ate at a restaurant owned by two Israeli women. After lunch we got a chance to see some of the Israeli stores, and to take in some of the sun and the beautiful view of the water. On the way back to the village we made a stop at Haifa to see the famous Bahai gardens. We took lots of pictures of the lush greenery and the flowers! When we got back to the village we had a little time to rest, and in the evening went to see a dance show with Tomer’s wife Galeet. The performance consisted of teens and young children and was absolutely amazing, just like everything else here in Israel!

Impressions of Tel Aviv

Annie – Tel Aviv is a beautiful city that has a lot of incredible sights! So many different people come together at the beach or to spend time walking along the boardwalk. Tel Aviv also has a lot of green spaces and is very hot.

Olivia – The most prominent impression of Tel Aviv is that it feels very similar to places in the U.S., like Venice Beach, California, especially on the boardwalk along the water.

Emily – I love Tel Aviv! It’s so great to sit back and people watch! The people here are very trendy and you can tell that is a very popular city. If I lived in Israel, it would definitely live in Tel Aviv.

Bella – I loved Tel Aviv! They have so many adorable dogs on the boardwalk and great shopping. Everyone is fashionable and they also have good food. The ice cream was so good!

Sophia – Tel Aviv was the coolest place we’ve been so far. The weather was beautiful today and it was the perfect place to go shopping. We also saw a ton of adorable dogs.

Hanna- Tel Aviv was amazing! We went shopping and had such a good lunch. The weather was great and there were lots of cute dogs. Also we had the best coffee!
