This morning, we visited the Ethiopian Village in Kibbutz Avron. There, we learned how the Ethiopian Jews came to Israel from Sudan, where they had to wait in camps until they got the opportunity to fly to Israel. The Ethiopian woman that showed us around gave us bread and tea and talked about blessings for the food and her personal journey from Ethiopia.
Then, we drove to Kfar Vradim where we learned about the history of the Buchari Jews. The house we were in resembled a dome and had exquisite architecture. After that, we had lunch at a delicious schnitzel restaurant (our favorite so far!!!). After, we drove back to the Village and napped for a while. Then, we went to give the gifts to the Bar Mitzvah kids who were very grateful for their gifts. Finally, I went to my mishpachton where we celebrated my 18th birthday! I had a great day in the Village!
