It has been our privilege and pleasure as STEM teachers to visit many wonderful and inspiring schools, colleges, universities and science institutes on this trip to Israel. They differed in many ways. Some places were large, while others were small. Some were public, some private, some had many resources, while others lacked resources. There was however one universal theme: it’s all about the kids. All of the educators we met cared a great deal about their students and go above and beyond to help their students learn in order to succeed in life. At the post secondary level, colleges, universities and institutes are primarily charged with educating college students or performing research. Yet, in many instances we’ve seen a great deal of time, energy and resources dedicated to outreach programs in their communities as well as internationally through online programs and educational materials. I look forward to collaborating with these talented and passionate educators in the future.
