Another amazing day waking up to a beautiful scene out over the Sea of Galilee and then having an amazing breakfast to start the day. After breakfast our whole group got together for the first of what might be many brainstorming sessions to discuss what we have learned and how we as a group can work together to take what we have learned and make the most of it. This was another day of a blend of activities. We visited historic Christian sites in the morning (Mt. Beatitudes (Sermon on the Mount), Peter Primacy (the site where Jesus appeared to the Apostles for the third and final time) and finally the site of the city of Capernaum (where Jesus lived with Peter and his Mother during his Ministry). We then visited a High School in Misgav after lunch to learn about their amazing robotics program. This school has really put an amazing effort behind this robotics team and they have done well on the world stage. Their small robot that searched rooms for a burning candle and then blew it out was amazing. But then we saw their larger robots that stacked boxes, threw large balls and did pull ups. The final one was the 2013 model that we viewed outside that was programmed to throw frisbees into a small target. After an interesting discussion with the students who worked on the project we came back to our hotel for a short R & R in the Sea of Galilee. Then we went back to the area of the Misgav school and split into small groups to have home Shabbat dinners with families. I know that our dinner with our family was an amazing experience, both from the interaction with the family as well as the amazing food. Our time was at a close and the family’s oldest daughter said, “You have to leave so soon?”. I think that sentiment was felt by all. It was a great experience. Now to rest up for another great day tomorrow. On to Jerusalem!
